About

This is an ongoing project where I turn diary entrees into 2D barcodes and print them on t-shirts and bags. Mobile phones (not all mobile phones have this capability) scan the barcodes and translate them back into words, which in turn reveals the hidden message in the bar code.

Anyone may submit a diary entree to me and i will turn it into QR code and print it on a shirt. I like the idea of presenting something as private as a diary in a code that requires specific technology to read. The message remains private, but is presented in a very public way.

My intention is to create interaction between people. If you see a shirt with QR code on it you use your phone to decode it and find something out about the person wearing the shirt. I like this form of introduction of one person to another. Anyone interested can create their own code by visiting web sites like KAYWA or they can send me their personalized entree so I can create the code for them.

For $20 I will create a shirt and mail it to you.
